Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2025Short version: StitchTrack stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Your knitting projects are yours.
StitchTrack is a knitting and crochet project tracker developed by Gabriella Frank Ferm. The app is available on Android via the Google Play Store.
StitchTrack does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
All data you create in StitchTrack — including project details, row counts, session history, notes, and any photos or PDF patterns you attach — is stored exclusively in a local database on your device.
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it using the export feature.
StitchTrack requests the following Android permissions:
No permission is used to collect or transmit data.
If you attach a photo or PDF pattern to a project, that file is copied to the app's private storage directory on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app will remove all stored files.
A future update will introduce an optional cloud backup feature that syncs your data to your own Google Drive or iCloud account. This will be strictly opt-in. When available, an updated privacy policy will be published before the feature is released. Your data will always sync to your own cloud account — never to our servers.
StitchTrack does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app contains no user accounts, no data transmission, and no advertising.
To delete all data associated with StitchTrack, simply uninstall the app from your device. All locally stored data — projects, sessions, photos, and patterns — will be permanently removed.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way (for example, when cloud sync is introduced), the updated policy will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will be changed.
